Delicious Gluten Free Bread – It Can Be Done!

On April 27th you will hear the cheers as Genius Gluten Free Bread hits the shelves at 700 branches of Tesco. Yes there has been gluten-free bread before but Genius is fresh and tasty. I gave a prototype loaf to my coeliac neighbour who said it was the best bread she had eaten in eight years.

The Genius story is testimony to the drive (some would say obsession) of Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne. The catalyst was wanting her gluten-intolerant son Robin to be able to enjoy ‘soldiers’ with his eggs just like any other boy. Over three years and “thousands” of loaves later Lucinda has achieved this. I should declare an interest here as I helped Lucinda with some of her factory trials and was struck by her enthusiasm and commitment to the project. Rush out and buy this bread!

Genius Gluten Free bread will be available as either a brown or a white loaf, costing £2.49  (on promotion at £1.99 until June 7th). There is more information at
